Colors can read slightly differently from screen to screen.
The woven nature of a real rug allows a minor size variation of ±5%.
Ashfield Charcoal is a washable rug that looks like a weathered wall.
Slabs of charcoal, stone and bone sit against each other with no clean edges, each one eaten away where it meets the next. Fine horizontal scratches run through the darker areas, the way plaster wears where the damp reaches.
The composition is deliberately off balance: heavy at the top left, empty through the middle, dark again at the lower right. It is a picture, not a pattern.
Charcoal, warm gray and bone, with a faint blush surfacing in the pale slabs.
Charcoal takes matte black, walnut and concrete, tones as mid-depth as this rug's own gray.
The bone areas sit with linen and white paint, with terracotta warming this rug's edge.
One warm object stops this rug going industrial: tan leather, brass or white paint trim.
On pale floors the dark slabs read as deliberate shapes. On dark wood the rug loses its edges and becomes atmosphere.

Four generations, one throughline: it started with a kilim, hand-woven in Central Anatolia. Today every Rugember is woven on our own machines in Istanbul, cut to the size you choose, and finished by hand.
Not a pad you lay underneath, and not a cover you clip on. The non-slip backing is bonded to the weave itself, so there is nothing to slip, peel or replace.
Every pattern, four shapes, thirty-four stock sizes. If none of them is your room, we cut the same weave to the measurement you give us.
The loom does the weaving. The edges, the binding and the final check are done by a person. That is also why a small tolerance in size is normal rather than a fault.
A low, dense weave is what lets a rug go into a drum and come out lying flat again. It is a construction choice, not a style one.
