The woven nature of a real rug allows a minor size variation of ±5%.
Painted Gingham Dusty Blue is a gray-blue gingham with the easy look of an old kitchen tablecloth.
Dusty blue bands cross in both directions and deepen toward slate where they overlap, leaving pale gray squares between them. No square is quite true: the edges lean and the sizes drift from one to the next, as if the check were painted by hand. A plain blue border holds two thin pale lines, with the last row of squares clipped to slivers just inside it.
A fine diagonal grain covers the whole surface, which softens the blue and makes it read as washed cotton rather than flat color.
Dusty blue and slate with pale gray squares, and a clearer blue in the border.
Blue takes oak, cane and tan leather, warm materials that take the chill off.
White paint and linen keep it clean, with undyed cotton for a softer layer.
Rust or ochre gives one warm note, with walnut to anchor the cool blue.
On pale floors the blue reads soft and the gray squares stay crisp. On dark wood the blue cools toward slate and the squares become the brightest part of the pattern.

Four generations, one throughline: it started with a kilim, hand-woven in Central Anatolia. Today every Rugember is woven on our own machines in Istanbul, cut to the size you choose, and finished by hand.
Not a pad you lay underneath, and not a cover you clip on. The non-slip backing is bonded to the weave itself, so there is nothing to slip, peel or replace.
Every pattern, four shapes, thirty-four stock sizes. If none of them is your room, we cut the same weave to the measurement you give us.
The loom does the weaving. The edges, the binding and the final check are done by a person. That is also why a small tolerance in size is normal rather than a fault.
A low, dense weave is what lets a rug go into a drum and come out lying flat again. It is a construction choice, not a style one.
