The woven nature of a real rug allows a minor size variation of ±5%.
Sahel Bands Mushroom keeps everything in one family, mushroom stripes between bands of sand.
Cream lines do all the drawing: loose lines that pinch together and open out like wood grain, stepped lines that turn corners like a staircase with short comb strokes hanging from the top, and a narrow band of a few plain lines. Pairs of upright posts cut each band into long panels. The stripes are only a shade darker than the sand, so their uneven edges and stepped joins show as soft shifts of tone. There is no border; the bands run straight off both sides.
Because the tones sit so close, the rug reads from across the room as a sandy, linen-grained field, and the drawing shows itself only as you come nearer.
Mushroom, sand and cream, all within a few shades of each other.
Mushroom takes walnut, rattan and cognac leather, warm browns that stay in its family.
Linen and undyed cotton keep it soft, with pale oak to carry the sand.
Matte black or deep green gives one strong note, with white paint to sharpen it.
On pale oak the rug blends into the floor and the cream drawing carries it. On dark wood the sand bands lift and the stripes read more clearly.

Four generations, one throughline: it started with a kilim, hand-woven in Central Anatolia. Today every Rugember is woven on our own machines in Istanbul, cut to the size you choose, and finished by hand.
Not a pad you lay underneath, and not a cover you clip on. The non-slip backing is bonded to the weave itself, so there is nothing to slip, peel or replace.
Every pattern, four shapes, thirty-four stock sizes. If none of them is your room, we cut the same weave to the measurement you give us.
The loom does the weaving. The edges, the binding and the final check are done by a person. That is also why a small tolerance in size is normal rather than a fault.
A low, dense weave is what lets a rug go into a drum and come out lying flat again. It is a construction choice, not a style one.
