The woven nature of a real rug allows a minor size variation of ±5%.
Brush Ribbon Dove Gray is the quietest of the family, soft white and gray ribbons on a dove gray ground.
The lines travel in pairs, a chalk white stroke followed closely by a mid gray one, with a wide run of plain ground before the next pair. The pairs repeat at even intervals across the rug and run straight off the edges, with no border and no center. Each stroke swells and thins along its length the way a brush does when it is pressed and lifted, so its edges ripple gently.
Both strokes have soft, slightly blurred edges and sit only a few shades off the ground, so from across a room the rug reads as textured gray and the lines surface as you come closer.
Dove gray, chalk white and a deeper mid gray, all within a few shades of each other.

Walnut and brass warm the gray, with cream walls to soften the whole room.
Matte black and concrete make a cooler room, with brushed steel to sharpen it.
On pale oak the gray reads a shade cooler and the white strokes come forward. On dark wood the rug turns into a light, quiet field and the lines settle into its texture.

Four generations, one throughline: it started with a kilim, hand-woven in Central Anatolia. Today every Rugember is woven on our own machines in Istanbul, cut to the size you choose, and finished by hand.
Not a pad you lay underneath, and not a cover you clip on. The non-slip backing is bonded to the weave itself, so there is nothing to slip, peel or replace.
Every pattern, four shapes, thirty-four stock sizes. If none of them is your room, we cut the same weave to the measurement you give us.
The loom does the weaving. The edges, the binding and the final check are done by a person. That is also why a small tolerance in size is normal rather than a fault.
A low, dense weave is what lets a rug go into a drum and come out lying flat again. It is a construction choice, not a style one.
