The woven nature of a real rug allows a minor size variation of ±5%.
Courtyard Tile Taupe is the tile floor at its quietest, a dark taupe gray drawn in sand and dusty mauve.
Sand lines outline octagonal tiles and the small squares set between them. Star rosettes with a scalloped sand outline, lacy medallions and sprays of small flowers fill the octagons, with mauve in the petals and buds, and the squares carry four-petal flowers or pairs of mirrored brackets. A band of fine sand dashes, close-set like ruler marks, runs around the edge and turns each corner in a nested double line.
The tones sit close and parts of the drawing have worn away, so from across the room it reads as a textured taupe and the tiles come forward only up close.

Linen and cream lift the room around it, with pale oak to soften the gray.
Matte black and smoked glass make a sharper room, with concrete for a cool base.
On pale floors the taupe reads as a clear dark shape and the sand lines show the grid. On dark wood the two tones merge and the rug turns into a soft, even texture.

Four generations, one throughline: it started with a kilim, hand-woven in Central Anatolia. Today every Rugember is woven on our own machines in Istanbul, cut to the size you choose, and finished by hand.
Not a pad you lay underneath, and not a cover you clip on. The non-slip backing is bonded to the weave itself, so there is nothing to slip, peel or replace.
Every pattern, four shapes, thirty-four stock sizes. If none of them is your room, we cut the same weave to the measurement you give us.
The loom does the weaving. The edges, the binding and the final check are done by a person. That is also why a small tolerance in size is normal rather than a fault.
A low, dense weave is what lets a rug go into a drum and come out lying flat again. It is a construction choice, not a style one.
