TerracottaColors can read slightly differently from screen to screen.
The woven nature of a real rug allows a minor size variation of ±5%.
Leaf Veil Ochre spreads large, pale leaves across a warm ochre ground.
Broad oval leaves that narrow to a point grow along thin winding stems, and where the stems branch, four leaves open from a single point. Each leaf is outlined in cream with a pale vein down the middle and a soft taupe wash over one half, so it looks sheer and lit from one side. A second layer of dimmer leaves sits behind them in shadow, and the branches repeat edge to edge with no center. A narrow border of small leaves twists along the edge like a garland on a brighter gold ground, set off from the field by a thin cream line.
Up close a fine linen-like grain runs through the surface, the ground clouds lighter and darker, and thin orange lines run down it at intervals; from across the room it reads as pale foliage on gold.
Ochre and golden brown in the ground, with cream and stone gray leaves shaded in taupe.
Ochre takes walnut, cognac leather and brass, warm materials that deepen the gold ground.
Cream and linen keep the leaves bright, with pale oak furniture to lift the room.
Olive or deep green gives one cool note, with white paint to keep it fresh.
On pale oak the rug reads as a warm block of gold and the leaves stay soft. On dark wood the ochre sinks toward brown and the pale leaves come forward.

Four generations, one throughline: it started with a kilim, hand-woven in Central Anatolia. Today every Rugember is woven on our own machines in Istanbul, cut to the size you choose, and finished by hand.
Not a pad you lay underneath, and not a cover you clip on. The non-slip backing is bonded to the weave itself, so there is nothing to slip, peel or replace.
Every pattern, four shapes, thirty-four stock sizes. If none of them is your room, we cut the same weave to the measurement you give us.
The loom does the weaving. The edges, the binding and the final check are done by a person. That is also why a small tolerance in size is normal rather than a fault.
A low, dense weave is what lets a rug go into a drum and come out lying flat again. It is a construction choice, not a style one.
