Colors can read slightly differently from screen to screen.
The woven nature of a real rug allows a minor size variation of ±5%.
Modernist Blocks is a bone washable rug drawn like a broken stone wall.
Large irregular slabs fill the field, separated by a single black line that changes weight as it goes. Four of the slabs are filled with fine ruled hatching, one set vertical, one diagonal, one cornered like a chevron. The rest are left bare.
The dividing line is not straight anywhere. It kinks and drifts, which is what turns a hard-edged composition into something drawn rather than plotted.
Bone and putty in the open slabs, near-black in the hatched ones, with a single black line between.
One wood tone keeps this rug from going stark: oak, walnut or cane.
Cream or white paint upholstery stays as pale as this rug's own light-led ground.
Terracotta is this rug's one warm color, set against its steep, near-highest contrast.
On pale floors the black slabs read as deliberate shapes. On dark wood the rug loses its lower edge and the bone areas float.

Four generations, one throughline: it started with a kilim, hand-woven in Central Anatolia. Today every Rugember is woven on our own machines in Istanbul, cut to the size you choose, and finished by hand.
Not a pad you lay underneath, and not a cover you clip on. The non-slip backing is bonded to the weave itself, so there is nothing to slip, peel or replace.
Every pattern, four shapes, thirty-four stock sizes. If none of them is your room, we cut the same weave to the measurement you give us.
The loom does the weaving. The edges, the binding and the final check are done by a person. That is also why a small tolerance in size is normal rather than a fault.
A low, dense weave is what lets a rug go into a drum and come out lying flat again. It is a construction choice, not a style one.
