The woven nature of a real rug allows a minor size variation of ±5%.
Palazzo Scroll Navy keeps the whole damask inside one deep blue, tone on tone.
The acanthus sprays, the oval rosette cartouches and the scattered daisies are drawn in a dusty slate blue only a few shades lighter than the navy ground. The large curling leaves read first, and the rosettes, small crowns and round beads only come through as you get closer. The Greek key border is drawn just as softly, so the rug has a frame without a hard edge.
Fine horizontal streaks of lighter blue run through the navy, which gives even the plain areas a soft, heathered texture like washed denim.
Navy and dusty slate blue, with nothing else in the drawing.

Chalk white and linen keep it crisp, with pale oak to soften the contrast.
Rust or ochre gives one warm note, with cream to carry it across the room.
On pale floors the navy reads as one dark, calm shape and the damask surfaces as texture. On dark wood the rug and floor sit close in tone and only the lighter leaves show.

Four generations, one throughline: it started with a kilim, hand-woven in Central Anatolia. Today every Rugember is woven on our own machines in Istanbul, cut to the size you choose, and finished by hand.
Not a pad you lay underneath, and not a cover you clip on. The non-slip backing is bonded to the weave itself, so there is nothing to slip, peel or replace.
Every pattern, four shapes, thirty-four stock sizes. If none of them is your room, we cut the same weave to the measurement you give us.
The loom does the weaving. The edges, the binding and the final check are done by a person. That is also why a small tolerance in size is normal rather than a fault.
A low, dense weave is what lets a rug go into a drum and come out lying flat again. It is a construction choice, not a style one.
