The woven nature of a real rug allows a minor size variation of ±5%.
Palazzo Scroll Taupe sets the damask in pale stone gray on a soft taupe brown.
Paired acanthus sprays fan out from a stacked palmette and sweep into broad leaf tips, and oval cartouches, each a double rosette with a small crown above and below, sit between them in a staggered repeat. Open daisies and round beads fill the spaces, all in the same pale stone. A stone gray Greek key frames the field between fine lines.
Fine horizontal streaks run through the taupe and the stone alike, which softens the contrast and keeps the drawing calm.
Taupe brown and pale stone gray, a soft neutral pair.
Taupe takes oak, linen and undyed cotton, soft natural materials in the same register.
Walnut and matte black give it an edge, with greige walls to hold it together.
Sage or olive adds a little color, with cream to keep the room warm.
On pale floors the taupe reads as a warm mid-tone and the stone drawing stays clear. On dark wood it becomes the lighter surface in the room and the damask reads softer.

Four generations, one throughline: it started with a kilim, hand-woven in Central Anatolia. Today every Rugember is woven on our own machines in Istanbul, cut to the size you choose, and finished by hand.
Not a pad you lay underneath, and not a cover you clip on. The non-slip backing is bonded to the weave itself, so there is nothing to slip, peel or replace.
Every pattern, four shapes, thirty-four stock sizes. If none of them is your room, we cut the same weave to the measurement you give us.
The loom does the weaving. The edges, the binding and the final check are done by a person. That is also why a small tolerance in size is normal rather than a fault.
A low, dense weave is what lets a rug go into a drum and come out lying flat again. It is a construction choice, not a style one.
