Colors can read slightly differently from screen to screen.
The woven nature of a real rug allows a minor size variation of ±5%.
Sawtooth Ledger Charcoal is the crispest of the family, dark charcoal lines across a pale oatmeal ground.
The lines cross at even, generous intervals and pinch and swell along their length, so each looks drawn by hand rather than with a ruler. Small charcoal triangles stand along the edge with their points facing out, a sawtooth that follows the outline of every shape. On rectangles and squares a thin charcoal line runs down each side, and the cross lines end against it.
With the most contrast of the five it reads clearly from across the room, like a sheet of lined paper, and the gray flecks in the linen-like ground tie the dark lines to the pale field.
Oatmeal and charcoal, with gray flecks in the ground.

Matte black and smoked glass sharpen the lines, with concrete for a cooler room.
Rust or ochre adds the one warm color, with chalk white walls behind it.
On pale floors the charcoal lines and sawtooth edge give the rug a clean graphic outline. On dark wood the oatmeal ground turns bright and the lines read even sharper.

Four generations, one throughline: it started with a kilim, hand-woven in Central Anatolia. Today every Rugember is woven on our own machines in Istanbul, cut to the size you choose, and finished by hand.
Not a pad you lay underneath, and not a cover you clip on. The non-slip backing is bonded to the weave itself, so there is nothing to slip, peel or replace.
Every pattern, four shapes, thirty-four stock sizes. If none of them is your room, we cut the same weave to the measurement you give us.
The loom does the weaving. The edges, the binding and the final check are done by a person. That is also why a small tolerance in size is normal rather than a fault.
A low, dense weave is what lets a rug go into a drum and come out lying flat again. It is a construction choice, not a style one.
