The woven nature of a real rug allows a minor size variation of ±5%.
Walnut Garden is a brown washable rug with a garden faded into it.
The whole field is covered with vines and flower heads, no medallion and no center, just a garden that carries on to the border. Palmettes surface here and there in pale sage and cream, the way a few blooms catch the light in a bed that has gone over.
Some flower heads are almost white while their neighbors are barely visible. That unevenness is what an old rug does, and it is drawn in deliberately.
Walnut brown in the field, cream and sage in the drawing, with a wide ivory border.

Cream border sits with white paint and linen, with matte black sharpening this rug's edge.
With this rug's warm, mid-range color, matte black and clay stand out against wide linen.
On pale oak the brown reads warm and the ivory border frames it. On dark wood the field merges with the floor and only the border survives.

Four generations, one throughline: it started with a kilim, hand-woven in Central Anatolia. Today every Rugember is woven on our own machines in Istanbul, cut to the size you choose, and finished by hand.
Not a pad you lay underneath, and not a cover you clip on. The non-slip backing is bonded to the weave itself, so there is nothing to slip, peel or replace.
Every pattern, four shapes, thirty-four stock sizes. If none of them is your room, we cut the same weave to the measurement you give us.
The loom does the weaving. The edges, the binding and the final check are done by a person. That is also why a small tolerance in size is normal rather than a fault.
A low, dense weave is what lets a rug go into a drum and come out lying flat again. It is a construction choice, not a style one.
