The woven nature of a real rug allows a minor size variation of ±5%.
Ikat Spindle Mulberry puts the ikat columns in a deep berry red, with dusty mauve chains between them.
Each chain is a stack of pointed pods with a small cream eye at the center, outlined in cream lines that pinch where the pods meet. Faint blue-gray streaks run down through the mauve, and the edges break into short vertical strokes, as in ikat cloth. A narrow border of crosswise mulberry and cream pinstripes frames the field, with nested squares at the corners.
Paler pink flecks cross the mulberry in fine horizontal lines, giving the dark ground the look of dyed thread rather than a flat fill.
Mulberry and dusty mauve, with cream outlines and touches of blue-gray.

Linen and pale plaster soften the deep red, with undyed cotton for a calm room.
Sage or olive gives one cool counterpoint, with white paint to keep it light.
On pale oak the mulberry reads rich and the mauve chains stay soft between the columns. On dark wood the ground deepens toward plum and the cream outlines carry the pattern.

Four generations, one throughline: it started with a kilim, hand-woven in Central Anatolia. Today every Rugember is woven on our own machines in Istanbul, cut to the size you choose, and finished by hand.
Not a pad you lay underneath, and not a cover you clip on. The non-slip backing is bonded to the weave itself, so there is nothing to slip, peel or replace.
Every pattern, four shapes, thirty-four stock sizes. If none of them is your room, we cut the same weave to the measurement you give us.
The loom does the weaving. The edges, the binding and the final check are done by a person. That is also why a small tolerance in size is normal rather than a fault.
A low, dense weave is what lets a rug go into a drum and come out lying flat again. It is a construction choice, not a style one.
