The woven nature of a real rug allows a minor size variation of ±5%.
Painted Gingham Leaf Green is a classic green and gray gingham, drawn freehand so no line runs quite straight.
Translucent green bands cross the field in both directions and turn deeper where they overlap, leaving pale gray squares in the gaps. The squares lean a little and change size from one to the next, as if the check had been laid down with a flat brush. A plain green border carries two thin pale lines, and where the check meets it the outer row of squares is clipped to slivers, so a broken pale line runs just inside.
A fine diagonal grain runs over everything, squares included, so from across the room it reads as a crisp gingham and up close as washed cotton.
Leaf green in two depths and pale gray squares, with a brighter, cleaner green in the border.

White paint and undyed cotton keep it crisp, with linen to soften the edges.
Terracotta and brass warm it up, with walnut to give the green some weight.
On pale oak the green reads fresh and the gray squares stay bright. On dark wood the squares and border lines come forward and the green bands sink a little.

Four generations, one throughline: it started with a kilim, hand-woven in Central Anatolia. Today every Rugember is woven on our own machines in Istanbul, cut to the size you choose, and finished by hand.
Not a pad you lay underneath, and not a cover you clip on. The non-slip backing is bonded to the weave itself, so there is nothing to slip, peel or replace.
Every pattern, four shapes, thirty-four stock sizes. If none of them is your room, we cut the same weave to the measurement you give us.
The loom does the weaving. The edges, the binding and the final check are done by a person. That is also why a small tolerance in size is normal rather than a fault.
A low, dense weave is what lets a rug go into a drum and come out lying flat again. It is a construction choice, not a style one.
