The woven nature of a real rug allows a minor size variation of ±5%.
Sahel Bands Turquoise is the cool one, with turquoise stripes between bands of misty blue.
All the drawing is done in near-white lines. Some bands carry loose lines that pinch together and open out like wood grain, some carry stepped lines that turn corners like a staircase with short comb strokes hanging from the top, and the narrowest hold just a few plain lines, with pairs of upright posts cutting every band into long panels. The turquoise stripes swell and thin as they cross and are laid in lengths that meet with a small step. There is no border; the bands run straight off both sides.
The misty blue and the near-white lines sit close in tone, so from across the room the bands read as soft texture and the drawing only resolves up close, over a fine linen grain.
Turquoise, misty powder blue and near-white, cool all the way through.

Chalk white and linen keep it fresh, with undyed cotton for a softer edge.
Terracotta or rust gives one warm note, with sand walls to bridge the blues.
On pale oak the turquoise stripes read crisp and the rug feels light and airy. On dark wood the pale bands brighten and the stripes deepen toward teal.

Four generations, one throughline: it started with a kilim, hand-woven in Central Anatolia. Today every Rugember is woven on our own machines in Istanbul, cut to the size you choose, and finished by hand.
Not a pad you lay underneath, and not a cover you clip on. The non-slip backing is bonded to the weave itself, so there is nothing to slip, peel or replace.
Every pattern, four shapes, thirty-four stock sizes. If none of them is your room, we cut the same weave to the measurement you give us.
The loom does the weaving. The edges, the binding and the final check are done by a person. That is also why a small tolerance in size is normal rather than a fault.
A low, dense weave is what lets a rug go into a drum and come out lying flat again. It is a construction choice, not a style one.
