The woven nature of a real rug allows a minor size variation of ±5%.
Tomato Picnic Scarlet scatters ripe scarlet tomatoes over a pink and cream gingham, like a summer tablecloth spread on the floor.
Some tomatoes hang in threes from a branching green vine, others lie whole with a star of green sepals and a soft pale highlight, and the rest are cut in half to show pale flesh and curled seed chambers. The clusters sit in staggered rows with the single and halved fruit between them. Pale pink bands cross in both directions and deepen where they meet, leaving cream squares, and a narrow border of smaller red and pink checks frames it all, cutting off the tomatoes that reach the edge.
A fine woven grain runs over the whole surface and every outline steps very slightly, so up close it looks like a woven picture and from across the room it reads as a bright red and pink check.

White paint and undyed cotton keep it fresh, with linen for an easy, soft layer.
Sage or olive picks up the green vines, with cream to calm the reds.
On pale oak the cream squares sit close to the floor and the red tomatoes carry the pattern. On dark wood the whole check lifts and the red and pink border draws a clear frame.

Four generations, one throughline: it started with a kilim, hand-woven in Central Anatolia. Today every Rugember is woven on our own machines in Istanbul, cut to the size you choose, and finished by hand.
Not a pad you lay underneath, and not a cover you clip on. The non-slip backing is bonded to the weave itself, so there is nothing to slip, peel or replace.
Every pattern, four shapes, thirty-four stock sizes. If none of them is your room, we cut the same weave to the measurement you give us.
The loom does the weaving. The edges, the binding and the final check are done by a person. That is also why a small tolerance in size is normal rather than a fault.
A low, dense weave is what lets a rug go into a drum and come out lying flat again. It is a construction choice, not a style one.
